Celestia STS Announces Relocation to Expanded Leiden Facilities

LEIDEN, NL – Celestia STS, well known in the space industry as a trustworthy engineering company for tailor made solutions in the fields of simulation, testing and data communications, is proud to announce the relocation of its site to a new, expanded facility in Leiden. After 15 successful years at the Space Business Park in Noordwijk, the move marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth and operational evolution.

A New Chapter in the Leiden Bio Science Park

The move to Mendelweg 32 in Leiden, The Netherlands places Celestia STS just 15 minutes away from its former home. While the company bids a fond farewell to its long-term office on Huygensstraat—noted for its proximity to ESA ESTEC—the new location offers strategic advantages within the vibrant Leiden aerospace and technology ecosystem. The new premises are situated in close proximity to key industry partners and institutions, including Airbus Defence and Space, SRON (Netherlands Institute for Space Research). Proximity of our new location to Leiden Central Station, provides improved accessibility for staff and international partners.

Optimized for Innovation and Production
The relocation is driven by a need for increased capacity and specialized infrastructure. The new facility boasts a significant footprint expansion, growing from 700 to 1,100 square meters. This additional space has been specifically designed to optimize MAIT (Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, and Test) processes. By streamlining these workflows, Celestia STS is better positioned to meet the increasing demands of the global space industry and deliver highly reliable systems with greater efficiency.

The transition to the Mendelweg facility is effective coming January 1st as Celestia STS continues to play a pivotal role as a centre of excellence for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), TT&C solutions, and Optical Modems.
