About RF SCOE

Radio Frequency Special Check-Out Equipment (RF SCOE) is an integrated system that is used to validate the RF subsystems of a satellite during integration and testing.

As most satellite RF subsystems are unique per satellite, the RF SCOE is based on a combination of C-STS standard Onboard, RF Interface, and Software products in combination with COTS equipment to meet the customer requirements. Most commonly this RF subsystem is integrated into an overall 19” rack. However, C-STS has also delivered elements for integration into the RF SCOE as a sub-contractor.

The system configuration depends on the user requirements. Typically, this is integrated into a single 19″rack. The system can be controlled and monitored via a combination of local and remote interfaces.

C-STS have delivered RF SCOE’s for various ESA missions including Sentinel-2, EarthCare and SeoSat as well as non-ESA, such as Apogee (AS250 and VHR).
